As of December 31, 2024, the UK government has officially discontinued the use of Biometric Residence Permit (BRP) cards. Moving forward, the eVisa is now recognized as a valid identification document. However, third parties cannot directly access the government database to validate eVisa details.

Changes to BRP Validity
Starting December 31, 2024, all BRP cards have expired and will no longer be accepted as a form of identification or for Know Your Customer (KYC) verification. This update is in line with the latest regulatory changes.

What This Means for You
To ensure a smooth transaction process, customers are required to provide an alternative valid photo ID. Accepted identification documents include:
• UK or any valid Passport
• Travel Document
• UK Driving Licence (full or provisional)
• EU National Identity Card
• eVisa
